Day 2 & 3.

Day 1 ended in Warrnambool, after a long and windy, but incredibly beautiful drive along the Great Ocean Road. The weather along the road was perfect, blue skies and sunshine and everything. But Warrnambool was unfortunately not so perfect :( It ended up being rainy and windy all night, which didn't help my already out-of-whack sleeping pattern.

We stayed in Warrnambool for 2 nights. The next day, Wednesday, the raining had stopped. And even by the end of the day, blue sky decided to grace us with its presence.
We went to a Cheese factory and became delicious taste-testers, and bought lots of organic chocolate, biscuits, pasta sauce and too much organic cheese.
Later on, we went to Stingray Bay (formerly named "Stink"ray Bay by mum the night before, when we drove by it and it smelt like sewerage. This time however, didn't smell bad at all) where we walked along a short boardwalk that bridged over a bay thing and went along large rock.. things. It was beautiful.
We then went back to our caravan and cooked pasta with some of the organic sauce we bought and had it for a delicious dinner.
That night was also rainy and windy :(

Today we woke up early, and picked up our travels. I slept a fair bit of the way, and suddenly we were in South Australia. It was freezing cold, wet and windy still.

Mum, like the patriot she is, commanded the weather to be sunny. And it became sunny.
But unfortunately not for very long. The sun peaked in and out of the clouds the rest of the day.
We arrived in Robe, found a caravan park, and after reminding dad of the wind and how hard it is to sleep in the caravan with it, we opted for a small cabin. We are now staying in a 2 bedroom (what a luxury - after sleeping in a caravan, even for just 2 nights. Agh.) cabin. I had a hard time choosing which bed I should sleep in, as the room I'm in has 2 bunks, therefore 4 choices. Normally I'd choose the one next to the window. They all had windows.
We were thinking it would be about 1:30pm or something at this point, but realised because we were now in SA, it would be half an hour earlier. We went back in time ;)
So with a little time spare, we went swimming in the indoor heated pool. Soon, very soon, that indoor & heated pool will become an outdoor, cool and refreshing oasis of blue, perfect for cooling off in a hot and sunny Perth. For now though, that's just in my head.

After swimming for a bit, we drove around town and took photos of the different ocean views. I got some good photos. We found a blowhole, but it terrified me. It wasn't even high tide, but I've seen too many movies about them.
We relaxed in the cabin for a bit, then went out for tea. We found a pizzeria place, and ate some pretty nice food there. I'm pretty sure the waiter who served me thought I was engaged, because he kept looking down at my promise ring on my left hand. I guess it would be odd, as if I'd look old enough.
:S

Right now, I'm back in the cabin, facebooking and blogging, now that I've discovered dad's laptop won't let me press the 'publish post' button, on my mum's laptop. I'm tired. I'm missing home already, I'm hoping it's not lasting. Not this early in the trip.
I'm stressing about getting all this homework I have done before I get back - it feels like I don't actually have 6 weeks. I can't quite wrap my mind around that just yet.
Tomorrow, we're going to look around the town in a little more detail. The buildings are beautiful - they're all really old styles, and any new buildings are made of sandstone, which I love.
We've passed heaps of antique stores, and one called 'Memory Lane' has caught my eye. I'm keen to look inside and be inspired and stuff.
I like that we're going from town to town, just looking through places and going anywhere we feel like going that looks interesting. It's very adventurous and I love it - but I think that's what is making me miss Sale so quickly. I feel very much a stranger, and not at all at home. I like it but I kinda don't. Maybe it's just when I'm tired that I dislike it. Hopefully tomorrow I'm not tired, that way I'll be in an exploring mood again.
I guess for that to happen though, I better be signing off and going to bed.
So, goodnight whoever happens to be reading :)
Sweet dreams.
